Traverso Flute Studios offers private flute lessons for students of all ages and levels of experience in both the traditional and Suzuki methods.  We offer competitive rates and offer hour or half-hour lessons.  Find out about the instructor below...

Jennifer Pauley

Jennifer Pauley holds a BM in flute performance from the University of Wyoming and an MM in performance with an emphasis in pedagogy from Texas Tech University.  She has studied flute with Marylin Prestia formerly of the CSO, Pamela Endsley of the CSO, Lisa Garner Santa of the LSO, Carol Redman of Santa Fe Pro Musica and Rod Garnett of the University of Wyoming and has performed in masterclasses for William Bennett, Susan Milan, Rhonda Larson, Laurel Ann Mauer, Claire Southworth, Kris Kruger and Alexa Still.  Jennifer has also studied Suzuki flute with Rebecca Paluzi, Deborah Kemper, Kenichi Ueda and Rhonda Larson and has registered teacher training courses with the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

            Jennifer plays 2nd and 3rd flute and second piccolo with the Longmont Symphony Orchestra and serves as principal of the Brighton Orchestra and Platte Valley Players pit orchestra.  She performs regularly with the Euterpean Flute Quartet and Euterpean Consort and is the director of the Trill Seekers flute choir.

            Jennifer has been teaching the flute for over twelve years.  She teaches students of all ages and ability levels at her private studio, Traverso Studios in Brighton and serves as Suzuki flute instructor at the Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts in Lafayette.  She initiated the University of Wyoming community lessons program during the summer of 2007 and has also taught at the Music Education Center in Thornton.  In addition to private teaching, Jennifer has published several articles with Flute Talk Magazine.

            Jennifer serves as membership coordinator for the Colorado Flute Association, secretary for the Suzuki Association of Colorado and is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, the Denver Musicians Association, the Music Teachers National Association, the National and Colorado Federation of Music Clubs, and the Denver Musician's Association.
